Fasting is the third pillar of Islam and during
the month of Ramadan Muslim people fast during the day and eat at night. Ramadan
is a time for intense prayer and it aims for people to build a stronger
relationship with Allah. The Qur’an is recited through this month in Mosques
though out the world.
All Muslims are encouraged to fast through
the year but during the month of Ramadan it is compulsory except if you are
sick or pregnant. However the people who do not fast are encouraged to make up
for it later when they are well again.
