Hajj is the fifth pillar of Islam it is
when Muslims go on a pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca. This celebration happens
once a year during the month of Thul-Hijjah. To be considered a good Muslim you
must make this journey at least once within your lifetime.
During the celebration of Hajj people do
away with human things such as social status or wealth and all mix together. It
is symbolic of the fact that these things are irrelevant when it is all said
and done and you will not need them for your next life.
When the people celebrate they all gather
around Kaaba and praise Allah. Kaaba is the large pillar that the Holy Mosque
is built around.
The Kaaba is the place where Ibrahim built
a to Allah after God had given his wife and child a place too get water from.
People then came to the shrine to strengthen their belief in Allah.
